I represented the wife whom had sought to have her marriage annulled as she most recently found out that her husband was still presently married when she had gotten married to him. Our further investigation revealed that in fact he was still legally married and was also convicted for bigamy.
Evidence and testimony was brought out at trial that in fact my client’s husband was in fact a bigamist and a convicted one at that.
We were successful in proving to the court that my client’s marriage was null and void from the beginning pursuant to the family code and we obtained a nullity judgment on behalf of our client thereby wiping out any issues of spousal support or marital property as typically addressed in a marital dissolution.
