Divorce

My husband and I were married for about 19 years and separated in 2003. We both lived separately and moved forward with our lives, but neither of us ever filed for divorce. Finally, I made the decision in 2012 that it was time to truly end my marriage and get divorced. I went to Wallin & Klarich for help. Yvette Ochoa helped me through the entire process. She answered my questions and made me feel comfortable about the divorce process. Also, I had just bought a house and I was concerned my ex-husband would claim and interest in the property, but Yvette assured me that it was my separate property and that my ex-husband had no claim in my new house. In less than one year I was divorced and was awarded my house as my separate property. I am happy with Wallin & Klarich and Yvette for being reliable, friendly, and helpful.

After my wife and I separated, and she filed for divorce, I voluntarily gave my wife $1500 per month for child and spousal support. This was all that I could really afford. I work two jobs and am living paycheck to paycheck. But she wanted more. She filed an emergency request for more child support and spousal support. My Family Law Attorney Yvette Ochoa went to the hearing and was able to get her request denied. My wife was stubborn about getting more support and requested a court hearing. At the hearing, Yvette explained to me that after running the dissomaster calculations I looked at possibly paying $2550 in child and spousal support. Yvette, knowing my dire financial situation, was able to negotiate with my wife, to an amount that was not only fair to her, but also reasonable for me. We agreed that I was going to pay $1800 per month. Yvette saved me $775! I am very thankful to Yvette and Wallin & Klarich.

Divorce

I wanted a divorce after my husband and I separated. We had come to an informal agreement as to the terms of our divorce, but after a couple of months without any financial help or my husband seeing our two daughters, I realized that our divorce was not going to be as easy as I thought. Wallin & Klarich helped me. Yvette Ochoa, who speaks Spanish, was able to work with me in getting me the divorce orders that mattered the most to me. I wanted a firm custody and visitation schedule and child support. But overall, I just wanted to be divorced and to move forward with my life. Yvette did this all for me by negotiating a settlement at court with my ex-husband, who only speaks Spanish. Thank you Yvette!

Quick Divorce

I went to Wallin & Klarich to help me with my divorce. My wife and I had been separated for about 10 years, and we had finally decided that it was time we got divorced. My wife and I predominantly speak Spanish and understand a little English. With the help of attorney Yvette Ochoa from Wallin & Klarich, who is a Spanish speaker, my wife and I were able to get a divorce judgment in 4 months. Yvette explained the entire divorce process to me in Spanish and made sure that I felt comfortable with the divorce. My wife and I never had to go to court; Yvette took care of everything! I am very happy with the outcome of my case.
