According to CNN Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered a son with his housekeeper over a decade ago.

The housekeeper had been working for him for over twenty years.

Arnold has apparently provided child support for the child since he was born.

The Schwarzeneggers have recently separated due to these recent revelations.

It appears an informal mutual agreement was struck between Arnold and the housekeeper for him to support this child outside any court intervention.

Certainly, the mother could have pursued a petition in court to establish parental relations between child and Arnold. She could have also pursued a motion requesting orders for child support however, that seems to have been avoided by an apparent agreement between the two for financial support.
